Hello all,

I wanted to share some of the actions Richmond Township is doing to support the opposition to BECI 765 line.

  1. Drafted and submitted Resolution of Opposition – DONE
  2. Drafted and submitted Township Impact Statement – DONE
    1. Added town resident comments to GMS –  Mailed and emailed 70 files
    2. Road impact Statement – DONE
  1. Plan Commission
    1. Sent Planning Impact Letter to MGS regarding lack of planning and planning commissions involvement (local and SEWRPC) in the routing process – DONE
    2. Considering sending PSC (when docket opens) letter regarding SEWRPC outdated Environmental Corridor map. 2020 has not been updated. – TBD
  2. Consider sending letter to Walworth County Board to allocate funds for requesting legal opposition – TBD 9/15
  3. Considering budgeting funds to help opposition of routing through Richmond – TBD 9/15
  4. Considering registering or Partner Registering as an Intervenor in the PSC case – TBD 9/15
  5. Engaged Wisconsin Towns Association to assist towns with legal advice on the PSC process – in process
