Town of Richmond
Special Town Board Meeting
Saturday, September 19, 2020
Minutes
Chairman Jeff Karbash called the meeting to order at 1:00pm. Present: Karbash, Supervisors Carol Behrens, Susan Miller, Tom Kraus, Dave Overbeek. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Motion by Behrens, Second by Miller to approve the Agenda passed unanimously.
Chairman stated he had called the Special Meeting to reopen the discussion on closing the Lake Lorraine Boat Ramp. He and Supervisor Overbeek have received several calls, and it has been suggested that the Board might sell a key to local users who would be allowed to put their boat in the lake, but must park any cars/trucks and trailers in their own driveways, not at the boat ramp or on local streets. After much discussion, Overbeek Moved to hand out keys to people that can provide their own parking, that he will list himself as the person to hand out the keys and receive complaints; we will put up “no parking” signs in the area; users must provide an address where they will park their vehicles, and their license plate numbers. Second by Kraus, passed unanimously.
Consensus was to charge $5.00 for each key; Karbash will also hand out keys as needed; Clerk will revise draft Agreement to include User’s Driver’s License and Vehicle License Plate numbers, and signature of owner, phone number, and location of property where vehicles will be parked if different from User. Clerk will email Agreement revisions to Karbash for approval before final printing.
Motion to Adjourn by Overbeek, Second by Kraus, passed unanimously. Respectfully submitted,
Barbara Ceas, WCMC Town Clerk
