Board of Supervisors Meeting

Tuesday, January 19, 2021

Minutes

Chairman Jeff Karbash called the meeting to order at 7:00pm. Present: Karbash, Supervisors

Susam Miller, Dave Overbeek, Carol Behrens, Tom Kraus. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Motion by Overbeek, Second by Behrens, to approve the Agenda, passed unanimously.

Motion by Overbeek, Second by Kraus, to approve the Minutes, passed unanimously.

Motion by Miller, Second by Behrens, to approve the Treasurer’s Report, passed unanimously. Board Reports

Karbash – conversations with people regarding their opinions on lake issues, conditional use. Overbeek – call re chains on boat landing at Lake Lorraine – forgot to remove chain for ice fishing – now removed. Call from Scott Wilson re his mailbox – looked and took pictures – his box was down, but too far from road for plow damage – invited him to attend this meeting to complain.

Miller – nothing Behrens – nothing Kraus – nothing

Roadman Wally McManaway – nothing new since written report.

Delavan/Darien Schools – highlights and info on enrollments for incoming high school freshmen and returning students, other school accomplishments. Board complimented the district for being open every day since September.

Public Comment – Greg Scott questioned reason for “no firearms allowed” sign.  Will be on next Agenda.

Public Hearing – Mr. Joe Staller requested this item to be tabled for clarification at the County level.  Motion to Table from Overbeek, Second by Behrens, passed unanimously.

Operator License – Motion by Kraus, Second by Behrens/Overbeek to approve a license for Lassity Sullivan sponsored by Badger Bob’s, passed unanimously.

February Town Board Meeting Date – Clerk Ceas explained that a Primary Election will be held on February 16, the next scheduled meeting date, asked for alternate date from the Board.Motion by Behrens, Second by Overbeek, to meet on Tuesday, February 9, at 7:00pm, passed unanimously.

2021 Open Book and Board of Review dates; Possible Market Reval – Clerk reviewed email from Assessor, suggesting Saturday, July 10 for Open Book – 9am to 3pm via telephone, and 10am to

12 noon for in-person visits, and Board of Review on Thursday, August 19 from 3 to 5pm. They also asked if the Board wanted to do the Market revaluation in 2021 as decided last year. Motion by Kraus, Second by Overbeek, to approve the suggested dates and the Market revaluation in 2021. Passed unanimously.

Complaints – none.

Payment of Bills – so Moved by Kraus, Second by Behrens, passed unanimously. Motion to Adjourn by Overbeek, Second by Kraus, passed unanimously. Respectfully submitted,
