Deputy Clerk
The Town of Richmond is seeking an immediate position for a detail oriented, conscientious, extremely accurate candidate for a part time Deputy Clerk position, (30-40) hours per week). This position will perform invoice filing, journal entries, assisting Treasurer with budgeting, audit preparation, year-end preparation of W-2s and 1099s, filing reports with various County, State and Federal agencies in accordance with deadlines, and will serve in the capacity of a statutory Deputy Clerk §60.331. This position will assist the Town Clerk with election administration support, licensing, customer service, agenda and packet management and general staff support.
Preferred candidates will have a desire to “train into” the Town Clerk role and having municipal government experience is preferred, but not essential. In addition, strong government accounting, budgeting, and Quick Books accounting software are added advantages.
